When and where will the ADH OPEN 2024 take place?
The ADH OPEN 2024 in surfing will take place from May 25 to June 1, 2024 in Seignosse, France. Seignosse is located on the French Atlantic coast and is known for its excellent surfing conditions.
Who can take part in the ADH OPEN?
All students at German universities are invited to take part in the ADH OPEN. Students graduating in 2023 are also eligible to compete. There are different competition formats, including Open Men & Women and Longboard Men & Women.
How do I register for the contest?
Registration for the contest takes place via the respective university sports facilities or sports departments of the ADH member universities. Non-member universities can register through a responsible person of the university by e-mail to the AStA sports department of the University of Göttingen(wettkampf@sport.uni-goettingen.de) and in Cc to the ADH office(friederich@adh.de). The registration deadline is May 3, 2024.
What does participation cost?
The participation fee for the contest is 50 € and includes an official T-shirt. Each additional class costs an additional €45.
What new formats are there in 2024?
New in 2024 is the contest format "Aloha Cup", a team competition that will be offered in addition to the classic competition. ADH Panel Talks will also be held for the first time, where various topics relating to surfing and university sports will be discussed.
What courses and equipment rental are on offer?
- Surf courses: One week surf course (5 x 1.5 hours incl. theory) for 159 €, suitable for all surf levels.
- Board rental: One week board rental for 80 € (only for advanced surfers).
- Wetsuit Rental: One week wetsuit rental for 40 €, available in all sizes from XS to XXL.
What accommodation is available?
Accommodation is available in beach bungalows for 2 to 6 people directly at the surf hotspot Hossegor / Seignosse. The bungalows are fully equipped with kitchen, bathroom, cozy living area and wooden terrace. Prices vary depending on the size of the bungalow:
- 2 persons: 589 €/week
- 4 persons: 859 €/week
- 5 persons: 879 €/week
- 6 persons: 979 €/week
- Single booking in a shared bungalow: 219 €/week
A spa and security tax of €50 per person per week is payable in addition.
What is the best way to arrive?
- Car: We recommend traveling by car to be independent on site.
- Train: The nearest train stations are Dax or Saint-Vincent-de-Tyrosse.
- By plane: The nearest airports are Biarritz (45 km) and Bordeaux (155 km). A shuttle service from the airport can be organized on request.
Are there catering facilities on site?
Yes, there are various restaurants and cafés near the resort. Whether for brunch and dinner at Le Surfing, a poke bowl for lunch at Louvine or a hamburger at the resort's snack stand - your physical well-being is taken care of.
Can I cancel or change my booking?
Until May 1, 2024, you can cancel your trip for a fee of €50 without incurring any cancellation costs. Rebookings and name changes are possible for a fee of €25.
