A good kit with some unfortunate drawbacks:
- The Poop Bucket compostable trash bags seem to *let the smell through*, meaning that after you toss the bag, the bin smells inside, even though it was lined with the bag in a sealed manner.
- The hand pump for the sink occasionally pops off the connector due to pressure when used—it needs some kind of clamp on top of the rubber, I’m not sure. A small thing, but still annoying.

- The compostable bags & odor: Because compostable bags are designed to be breathable (to allow moisture to escape), they can sometimes let odor molecules pass through over time. To keep everything fresh, we highly recommend using our BOXIO Hemp Litter (which instantly absorbs moisture and odors) and replacing the bag every few days. You can also give the empty bin a quick spray with our BOXIO CLEAN or a cleaner to neutralize any lingering odors.
- The hand pump hose: Thank you for this feedback. A small cable tie (zip tie) or a small hose clamp is indeed a quick and sturdy DIY fix.

I originally purchased the Boxio Sanitary System because, given the space constraints in my macro truck camper, the Boxio would be a perfect fit for both units. I fell in love with the system the first time I used it. For its size, it’s such a great upgrade for my rig. I found the sink to be incredibly useful, and I mounted it as a pull-out unit to maximize its functionality. And as for the toilet, having the extra height provided by the smaller box paired with the larger box is such a game-changer. This is my first separation toilet, and I’ve never experienced any odors. I highly recommend this setup!

I never go anywhere outdoors without my Boxio toilet. It’s especially useful along the Pacific Coast Highway, where I can park anywhere and enjoy the ocean and daycare. Best value for the job!

Love it on Icelandic adventures
Used for camping right after receiving it; handy for quick evening needs in single-parent households for both the child and the parent—a toilet seat reducer would be perfect!
Convenient for doing a quick load of dishes, brushing teeth, shaving, a quick wash, and for quickly unscrewing or screwing things back on!

The tubes connecting the faucet and the pressure pump on the sink kink very easily. I am looking for a rubber version that will work better; I welcome your suggestions.
Also, the clips connecting the boxes pop off very easily; they are ineffective.
Lastly, the lid hinges are made of string, and getting them tight enough to be effective is challenging at best.
The overall design is good, but it needs some fine-tuning. Given the price point, I expected more. Plus, isn’t this a German company? Again, I expected better-quality parts.

Good overall impression. Fairly easy to assemble. The kit is very complete. Everything works. The faucets are top-notch. A few details could be improved, particularly to prevent the hoses from kinking. But I’m very satisfied with my purchase.
